Man sought in Shelby triple shooting

Shelby police have issued arrest warrants for a man in connection with the shooting of three people outside a home in the 400 block of West Circle Drive early Saturday.

Quintez Watkins, 25, is wanted on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, Shelby police Lt. Chris Howington said.

Kadeidra Miller and Jasmine Eaves were each shot once in the lower part of their bodies and were treated and released from the hospital, Howington said.

Jonathan Petty was shot twice in the arm and was also later discharged.

Eaves is Petty’s girlfriend and formerly dated Watkins, Howington said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Watkins is asked to call police at 704-484-6845.
