Drug agents on Thursday afternoon raided a Cherry Road massage parlor, arresting two women accused in a prostitution sting.

Marvin Brown, commander of the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit, said two women who work at Latin Hands Spa at 2443 Cherry Road have been charged with solicitation of prostitution. Their names were not immediately available.

They were escorted out of the building in handcuffs just after 3:30 p.m.

The Latin Hands Spa is located behind two restaurants – Sake Express and Popeyes – and near several other commercial businesses on Cherry Road.

Neighbors told The Herald’s news partner, WSOC-TV, that the parlor has been at the Cherry Commons location for about a month. They were suspicious because of the dark windows and lack of signage. Undercover police found the parlor advertised on the website Backpage.com.

During the raid, agents seized several laptops and screens from the suspected sex shop.

Brown said the two women arrested on Thursday are not from York County or the Rock Hill area. One is from Greenville but lives in North Carolina. The other is from Charlotte, he said.
