A 25-year-old man was killed Saturday morning after he was struck by a car and a motorcycle in a hit-and-run in northwest Charlotte.
Police were called to the 3600 block of Brookshire Boulevard shortly before 2 a.m., where the man was lying in the road. He had been hit by a black Mercedes-Benz that drove away, a witness told police.
Officials determined the man, identified as Roger Denzel Cuthberson Jr. , was crossing the road after being involved in a domestic disturbance, when he was hit by the car.
Nakia Michelle Phillips, the 31-year-old driver of the Mercedes, then sped away, police said. Cuthberson was then struck by a motorcycle as he was trying to get up from the first car.
Police arrested Phillips at her home, and charged her with felony hit-and-run. The driver of the motorcycle wasn't charged.
Alcohol and speed didn't appear to be factors in the crash, police said.
