Cici’s Pizza employee robbed at gunpoint at Rock Hill restaurant

A CiCi’s Pizza employee was robbed at gunpoint late Monday while he was working, according to Rock Hill Police.

The incident happened about 9:20 p.m. at the CiCi’s on Cherry Road, a police report states. An employee said the suspect entered the restaurant while he was working and asked him to step outside.

When the victim walked out of the business, the suspect lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun in his waist band, police said. The suspect told him to walk to a black BMW in the parking lot, where the victim saw a second suspect sitting in the driver’s seat with a gun pointed at him.

The victim said the first suspect pulled the gun from his waist band, pointed it at him and told him to give him money, the report states. The suspect in the vehicle began yelling the same instruction.

The victim told police one suspect removed about $250 cash from his pants pocket and got into the vehicle, at which point both men fled in the BMW, traveling south on Cherry Road.

Another employee inside the restaurant witnessed the suspect pull a handgun and point it at the victim, police said.
