Three people are in custody in connection with an attempted kidnapping at a Fort Mill, S.C., store on Thanksgiving Day.
A woman was walking outside a Lowe’s store around 4:30 p.m. when a vehicle stopped near her. A man ran toward her, grabbed her by the arm and pulled her toward the vehicle. She was dragged for a distance but broke free, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
After the woman broke away, the man and two other occupants of the vehicle attempted to drive away. Their vehicle hit a tree and they ran from the scene.
Fort Mill police officers searched the area and found the three suspects in a nearby shopping complex.
Graham Clark Cornwell has been charged with attempted kidnapping, robbery, assault and battery, criminal conspiracy and drug possession. He also faces charges of larceny, breaking and entering a vehicle, and theft of tools and construction materials that were inside a vehicle. His bond was set at $116,620.
Benjamin Jerome Hornowski faces charges for robbery, conspiracy and traffic violations. Bond was set at $60,000.
Alicia Hunter Perlson is charged with robbery and criminal conspiracy. Her bond was set at $50,000. She was released from the York County Detention Center on Sunday. WBTV
