Four motorists were charged with driving while impaired at a police checkpoint late Friday and early Saturday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Sgt. Jesse Wood said.
Police conducted the checkpoint in the 300 block of West Mallard Creek Church Road, near North Tryon Street.
Five motorists were charged with driving with suspended licenses and five drivers for having no licenses, Wood said. Police filed a total of 21 charges.
Officers from Mecklenburg County ABC and UNCC also participated.
