Emergency crews responded Monday to a large house fire in south Charlotte.

The fire broke out around 5 p.m. at a home in the 6300 block of Tripp Place, near Endhaven Lane. WBTV's Sky 3 was over the scene where heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming from a two-story brick home.

The fire appeared to have spread to a car in the driveway of the home as well.

Firefighters from multiple crews were working to extinguish the flames.

There is no word on what may have sparked the fire or if any injuries were reported.
