Police made seven driving-while-impaired arrests at an overnight checkpoint on the ramp from South Boulevard to John Belk Freeway.
Seven drivers were cited for having no license and six for having suspended licenses.
Police issued a total of 31 charges from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Sgt. J.D. Wood said.
Twenty-six officers helped at the checkpoint, including officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Huntersville police departments and Mecklenburg County ABC.
