Lincoln County authorities say detectives found a meth lab Tuesday morning when they went to talk with a man at his home in the western part of the county.
Sheriff’s detectives were doing a “knock and talk,” authorities say, when they claim to have discovered a one-pot methamphetamine operation at a residence in the 7100 block of Doyle Beam Memorial Road near Vale.
The man who lives there, Carl Ray Davenport, was taken into custody.
Detectives had been tracking the purchase of meth precursor materials, they say, and they went to the home with a search warrant. Davenport was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. Steve Lyttle
