A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was honored on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday for saving a choking baby last week.
U.S. Rep. Robert Pittenger commended Lt. Nate King for saving Lily Ganchenko, who choked while being fed dinner.
King was helping serve a search warrant nearby when Lily’s mother sought help for her 6-month-old baby who wasn’t breathing. King revived the girl.
