Rowan County arrests two of its ‘Most Wanted’

In the past two days, Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said it has arrested two men from its “Most Wanted” list.

Waylon Dillon, 32, was arrested Thursday on outstanding warrants for obtaining property by false pretenses and larceny of a firearm, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies arrested Dillon in Salisbury and he was taken to Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.

On Friday, deputies arrested Rickey Hardin Wagner Jr. on two counts of statutory rape of a child and three counts each of statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a child, officials said.

The charges stem from a month-long investigation, according to the sheriff’s office, and noted that Wagner has a lengthy criminal history with drug involvement. He was taken to Rowan County Detention Center under $500,000 secured bond.
