Two men were arrested on Friday and charged with murder in the deaths of a Catawba County couple in March.
Mark Anthony Wilson, 34, and Deidra Lacarol Ramseur, 39, were killed after a break-in at their home in the 6100 block of Rest Home Road in Conover, sheriff’s investigators said at the time.
On Friday, investigators arrested Jordan Alexander Rivera, 24, of Hickory, and Devin Maurice Ussery, 26, of Conover, on two counts each of murder. They were jailed without bail and have court appearances 9 a.m. Monday in Catawba County District Court.
Sheriff Coy Reid said at least one of the suspects knew Wilson and Ramseur and that robbery was the motive.

Reid wouldn’t say what evidence led investigators to arrest Wilson and Ramseur but said more arrests are possible.
“This has been a high priority on our list, and our investigators have been working on it just about every day since then,” Reid told the Observer. “They’ve been out doing interviews, canvassing neighborhoods.”
The State Bureau of Investigation continues to assist the sheriff’s office in the ongoing investigation, Reid said.
