Man’s death in Lenoir called ‘suspicious’

Lenoir police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered Tuesday morning in his home.

Police said they consider the death suspicious, although they said there are no indications of foul play.

The victim has been identified as Neal Joshua King, 36. He lived in the 1000 block of NW Perkins Place, police said.

Investigators said a woman called police shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday and said she had noticed a strange odor coming from a residence. The woman said she went inside the residence and found the man’s body.

Police said they are awaiting the official autopsy report on how King died. Steve Lyttle
