Three people have been charged in Hickory after a man was shot in the face and robbed at the Budget Inn.
Hickory police responded to a call of an injured person and found evidence that someone had been bleeding in one of the rooms.
Witnesses sayd Randy McDonald, a 45-year-old white man, had been shot in the face and robbed by known subjects and then drove himself away.
Police found McDonald at a Burke County address, and he was then taken to Frye Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

All of the suspects were found in Burke County and are in custody of the Burke County Sheriff’s Department.
Police charged Garrett Allen Via for robbery with a angerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. David Allen Pearson and Danielle Renee Hoosier were charged for robbery with a dangerous weapon. All three suspects were from Burke County.
