Pennsylvania fugitive captured in Concord

A joint task force headed by the U.S. Marshals Office has arrested a fugitive in Concord, authorities say.

Marshals took Deontae Davis, 18, into custody late Wednesday morning, officials said.

Davis was wanted by police in Hughesville, Pain the south-central part of the state, on charges of armed robbery, terroristic threats, simple assault, theft and receiving stolen property. He also was the subject of a warrant in Concord for failure to appear on a misdemeanor larceny charge, marshals said.

A surveillance operation led authorities to a residence in the 1500 block of Daley Circle in Concord, authorities said. Members of the Joint Fugitive Task Force said they saw Davis enter the rear of the residence, and they set up a corridor around the building.

Davis was arrested when he tried to flee out the back door, authorities said. He is jailed in North Carolina, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
