Former pastor pleads guilty to sex crimes

A former youth pastor in Concord pleaded guilty Thursday to taking indecent liberties with young boys in his care.

Bobby Price, 47, was sentenced to 16 to 20 months in prison. He’ll be required to register as a sex offender for 30 years.

The abuse happened between 2000 and 2006. Two victims say Price molested them in his car, inside several buildings at the King’s Way Baptist Church in Concord, at his home and on outings. The victims came forward in 2011.

That year Price went to Nicaragua on what his attorney said was a mission trip. Prosecutors said the trip was an attempt to flee the criminal case.

Price still must answer to similar charges involving youths at a Charlotte church. WBTV
