North Carolina corrections officials said a teen who had failed to return to a youth facility Sunday afternoon has been found and returned to custody.
The teen, identified as Levi M., is being held at the Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center in Cabarrus County. Authorities said the teen was making a home visit in Lincoln County but failed to return to Concord.
Witnesses had reported seeing the teen in a wooded area near N.C. 16 in Iron Station, and state officials said the young man was found about 3 p.m. Monday. He was not hurt.
