A Burke County man was sentenced last week to nearly five years in prison – the second prison term he’s received in the last two months.
Authorities said Lee Marcus Miller, 44, of Hildebran, was sentenced last week in Caldwell County Superior Court to between 58 and 82 months in prison. That followed a conviction on charges of felony breaking and entering, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, and habitual felon status.
Prosecutors said Miller was convicted in July in Burke County on charges of felony obtaining property by false pretense and habitual felon status. That time, he was sentenced to between 48 and 70 months in prison.
Authorities said the most recent prison term will be served at the end of the first. That means Miller has been ordered to serve between 8 years 10 months and 12 years 8 months in prison.
