A Newton man has been ordered to spend more than three years in prison after being convicted last week in connection with an August 2013 convenience store robbery, authorities said.
Cameron Dwayne Rhinehardt, 26, was convicted of robbery with a dangerous weapon and three misdemeanors. He was sentenced by Judge Beecher Gray to between 38 and 58 months in state prison, according to prosecutors.
Rhinehardt was arrested in August 2013, after a man robbed a Newton convenience store at gunpoint. Investigators said the gunman threatened employees with a gun and then left with three packs of cigarettes and $150 in cash.
Rhinehardt was identified by witnesses and surveillance video, prosecutors said.
