Authorities in Iredell and Rowan counties say they have arrested a pair of Cabarrus County men in connection with four residential break-ins.
Two of the crimes were reported in each of the counties, investigators said.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said it was investigating a pair of daytime burglaries Aug. 4 at homes in the Cleveland community, near the Rowan county line. Witnesses reported seeing two men driving a black four-door car in the area.
About the same time, Rowan County authorities reported arresting two men in a black car in connection with a pair of residential break-ins in their county. Investigators said some of the items taken in the Iredell County burglaries were found inside the car being driven by the two men.
Detectives were able to locate other items stolen in the Iredell and Rowan cases at businesses in Concord.
The suspects were identified as Jhmere Des’Mond Daniels, 25, of Kannapolis, and Katerious Arnaz Oakes, 26, of Concord. Each man was charged with two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of larceny after breaking and entering in each county, authorities said. Daniels and Oakes also were charged in Iredell County with larceny of a firearm and safecracking.
