A 23-year-old Charlotte woman was killed Wednesday morning in a fiery crash when her car crossed the center line on a curve and was struck by a truck, police said.
Inna Petrovna Dimova was killed when her 2005 Mazda 3 was hit by a 2006 Ford F-450 in the 11800 block of Brief Road, in the eastern part of Mecklenburg County near Mint Hill and the Union County line.
The 21-year-old driver of the truck and a 17-year-old passenger were not injured, police said.
The crash was reported shortly after 6:20 a.m. Police said Dimova was heading east on Brief Road, and as she approached a curve near Blaydon Road, about a quarter-mile east of Ferguson Road, her car crossed the double yellow line and turned sideways.

The Mazda was struck on the passenger side by the truck and caught fire, police said. Dimova died at the scene.
Investigators said alcohol and speed do not appear to have been factors in the crash. Dimova and both occupants of the truck were wearing seat belts.
