Charlotte-Mecklenburg police cite 104 motorists for seat belt violations during statewide campaign

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police issued 104 citations for seat belt violations at three locations this week, in conjunction with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program’s Child Passenger Safety Week Campaign.

Police issued a total of 189 charges during the campaign on University City Boulevard at John Kirk Drive, at Beatties Ford and Sunset roads, and Albemarle and Sharon Amity roads.

Police charged six motorists for driving while their licenses were revoked and eight drivers for having no operator’s license.
