Police seek Charlotte robbery suspect

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for help in finding the man responsible for robbing a northeast Charlotte convenience store at gunpoint early Saturday.

The robbery was reported about 4:15 a.m. at the Circle K, in the 7300 block of The Plaza. Police said a man entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint from the clerk. Once he got money, the suspect ran off, according to police.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned African-American male, about 20 years old. He was wearing an orange sweater, a white doo-rag and camouflage shorts.
