Two Charlotte-area men were sentenced Tuesday to prison after pleading guilty more than a year ago to child pornography charges.
Federal Judge Frank Whitney sentenced George Beall, 68, of Matthews, and Richard Lee Miller, 63, of Charlotte to 6 1/2 years each in prison, according to court records. Beall and Miller also must register as sex offenders after being released from prison and will be under lifetime supervision.
Whitney also ordered Beall to pay $66,000 in restitution to 11 child pornography victims, prosecutors said.
Both men were arrested after computer technicians doing repairs discovered images of child porn, according to authorities. Court records indicate Beall’s computer had thousands of images and videos that included 96 children already identified by law enforcement as victims of child pornography.
