Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spent much of the night trying to determine who was responsible for the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man Wednesday evening in northwest Charlotte.
Police have identified the victim as Daqualous Lynch-Latter of Charlotte. No suspect has been named in the case.
Police said they were called shortly after 7:30 p.m. to the 4800 block of Tuckaseegee Road, near Browns Avenue, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man, later identified as Lynch-Latter, was rushed by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center, where he died.
Police canvassed the neighborhood, looking for clues. They also called in their K-9 dog search unit in an effort to find a suspect.
