A Stanly County man is jailed in Gaston County and facing indecent liberties with a child charges, authorities said.
Joshua Lee Baucom, 28, of Oakboro, was arrested Friday in connection with a case from Stanly County, according to investigators.
The Stanly County Sheriff’s Office said it was contacted earlier this month about an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile and Baucom. An arrest warrant was issued for Baucom after an investigation, and the suspect was located by authorities in Gaston County.
He is jailed under $25,000 bond and is scheduled to make his first court appearance next Monday in Albemarle.
