One person is dead after a shooting Monday morning in the Grier Heights community, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
Police identified the dead man as Adrian Jamal Williams, 18.
Aaron Larelle McGriff, 30, has been charged with murder in the case. He turned himself in at police headquarters Monday afternoon.

Detectives say they believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Williams and McGriff. This was not a random act of violence, police said.
After the shooting, investigators canvassed the area for any additional witnesses.
