Police charge teen with attempted murder in attack on 71-year-old woman

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested three people they say broke into a 71-year-old woman’s house on Sunday, attacked her and stole her car.

Sylessa Ford, 17; Myron Bullock, 18; and a 14-year-old were all charged with armed robbery, conspiracy, kidnapping, breaking and entering and attempted murder. State law prevents police from releasing the names of those younger than 16 who are arrested. Police arrested the 14-year-old Monday afternoon, and said they were looking for two more people in connection with the Westcliff Drive robbery. Bullock and Ford were arrested Monday evening. Police asked anyone with more information to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. Cleve R. Wootson Jr.
