A north Iredell man has been arrested and charged in the Dec. 6 burglary of a home on Lewis Ferry Road in the western end of the county.
Iredell County sheriff’s investigators charged Andrew Curtis Creech, 33, of Harmony with first-degree burglary, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and obtaining property by false pretense. Creech was jailed on a $15,000 bail.
Investigators said the homeowner told them she was awakened by a loud noise. She got out of bed and confronted a man standing in her living room.
The intruder ordered the woman to stay in her kitchen or he would burn the house down, investigators said. The man stole a flat screen TV and other items.
