A Kannapolis woman faces drug and child abuse charges after she allegedly sold hydrocodone tablets to an undercover cop while she had her two children with her, authorities said Wednesday.
Deann Billi Wolfe, 28, of the 700 block of Applewood Street, was arrested Monday by Kannapolis police following an undercover investigation by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office detailed the allegations: On Sept. 12, an undercover officer bought one gram of heroin from Wolfe. Five days later, an undercover officer bought 20 hydrocodone tablets from her.
During the second incident, Wolfe drove to the delivery site with her two children and sold the drugs in their presence, the sheriff’s office alleged. The ages of the children were not immediately available.
