Lenoir man arrested on drug offense charges

Lenoir police arrested and charged a Lenoir man with drug offenses after executing a search warrant at his home on New Year’s Eve and confiscating cocaine, marijuana and $1,000 cash, Police Chief Scott Brown said Friday.

Sanders Douglas Bowers, 47, was charged with felony counts of trafficking cocaine by possession, trafficking cocaine by manufacture, manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.

Bowers, who lives in the 1300 block of Underdown Ave. S.W., was jailed on $75,000 bail.

Community complaints led police to investigate Bowers, Brown said.
