A Fifth Third Bank branch at 212 S. Tryon Street in uptown Charlotte was robbed Monday, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spokesman said. At 10:45 a.m., police said a man approached a bank employee and demanded money. Nobody was injured. The suspect was described as a 5-foot-6 black man with a medium build wearing a light T-shirt, a black hooded jacket and jeans. Staff reports
