A Rowan County couple was arrested last Friday after deputies say months of undercover surveillance yielded prescription drugs and heroin.
Deputies arrested Ryan Anthony Everhart, 28, and his girlfriend, Leslie Nicole Helms, 25, both of Rockwell, on drug charges linked to their alleged selling of prescription narcotics, deputies said.
In August, undercover officers bought five oxymorphone tablets from Everhart at an apartment on West Main Street in Rockwell, the release states. In September, undercover officers purchased 15 oxycodone tablets from Everhart and Helms at the same apartment.
The two were arrested last week when police charged Everhart with three counts of trafficking opium/heroin, one count of sale/delivery of oxymorphone, one count of possession with the intent to manufacture/sale/deliver oxymorphone and two counts of maintaining a dwelling.
