Police seek Crown Victoria after Freedom Drive shootout

Police are looking for a black Ford Crown Victoria after a Saturday afternoon shootout in a parking lot on Freedom Drive.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said two groups of people who know each other fired shots at each other near a Foot Locker, at 3121 Freedom Drive. Police said no one was injured in the shooting. Shell casings were found on the ground.

However, after both groups fled, their cars collided with each other. One person was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One car involved in the crash, a Crown Victoria, then left the scene. Police say it has significant damage to its front and is possibly missing its back window. It also has large 22-inch red custom wheels.

Police ask that if anyone sees the car to call 911 or Crime Stoppers, at 704-334-1600.
