Girlfriend accused of stabbing man at Rock Hill home

A woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the stomach at a home in Rock Hill.

Mattie Walker, 35, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence, according to police.

Officers responded to a call on Chestnut Street to find a 46-year-old man holding his stomach. Police noticed a “large amount of blood” on his stomach and pants, according to a Rock Hill poice report.

An officer grabbed a white t-shirt off a chair and used it to apply pressure to the wound.

The man told police his girlfriend assaulted him.

While authorities waited for EMS to arrive they found Walker. She was taken to jail and the victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
