A secretary at Crest High School in Shelby turned herself in Thursday and admitted having a sexual relationship with students, authorities said.
Laura Marie Bowling, 32, is facing five charges of sexual activity with a student. Deputies said at least two male students were victims.
According to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, both Bowling and one of the students admitted having a sexual relationship over the past two months.
Investigators said the mother of one of the victims told law enforcement about cell phone pictures and text messages that she felt were inappropriate. The mother also received anonymous phone calls congratulating her on being a grandmother.
Authorities confirm Bowling was pregnant last week, but is not anymore.
Bowling’s bond was set at $50,000.
