Man kidnapped from Steele Creek and shot Sunday

Police are looking for two men who kidnapped and shot a man Sunday morning.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said the victim was on Montcrest Drive in the Steele Creek area before 2 a.m. when two men came up to him, forced him into his vehicle and drove away. They took him to northwest Charlotte, shot him inside the vehicle and dropped him off near a 7-Eleven on Brookshire Boulevard, police said.

The two men drove away in the victim’s Hyundai Elantra, according to police.

The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Police are looking for a silver Hyundai Elantra with North Carolina plate PCC-1318. If you see the vehicle, call 911.
