The plane had just pushed away from the gate but was not yet in the air when two male attendants were assaulted, Mohr said.
Police were called at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday to Gate 19 of Concourse C about an “irate passenger assaulting the flight attendants on the plane,” a CMPD report stated. Police did not say what set off the passenger.
A 58-year-old flight attendant was hospitalized with possible internal injuries, police said. They said the other victim, 34, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating the case as an aggravated assault and a simple assault.
The plane returned to the gate after the assault, Mohr said, and eventually took off for Florida after other attendants were brought on.
