CPCC students and faculty spent more than 20,000 volunteer hours last school year, helping 176 agencies in the Charlotte metro region.
Today, the college will make the pitch for more helpers, during CPCC's annual Volunteer Fair at the Central Campus between Kings Drive and Charlottetown Avenue.

The Volunteer Fair will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Quad. More than 30 agencies will attend the event, ready to speak with students, faculty and staff.
Volunteer efforts at CPCC are managed through the college's Service Learning program. That program has won a number of awards in recent years. CPCC students, faculty and staff participated last year in events such as America Recycles Day, the Martin Luther King Challenge, and Charlotte: Clean and Green.
