The Cam Newton Foundation is challenging students at Charlotte-Mecklenburg middle schools to put together the best video displaying their school pride.
Each of the school district’s 43 middle schools or K-8 academies will be able to submit a video every month that shows off programs and activities on their campuses. The best 90-second-or-less submission will earn the students a dinner with the Carolina Panthers quarterback.
The first deadline is Oct. 15. Winners will be named monthly through the end of March.
“I hope the students will think creatively and outside of the box,” Newton said in a statement. “School pride is not just about wearing your school’s colors. It is extremely contagious and can serve as a means to bring a community together.”
