One student suffered minor injuries Thursday morning when a school bus and another vehicle collided in north Charlotte, authorities said.
The collision was reported about 7:45 a.m. at Reagan Drive and Prospect Drive, off Tom Hunter Road and not far from Sugar Creek Drive and Interstate 85.
A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokesperson said Bus 1477 was picking up students for Briarwood Elementary School, with one student aboard at the time of the collision. That student was taken to the hospital, the spokeswoman said.
Medic said the patient was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the bus and the SUV did not need treatment, authorities said.
Police are investigating the collision.
