Attorney General Roy Cooper won’t join suit against Obama

Democratic Attorney General Roy Cooper has refused to join Republican Gov. Pat McCrory in suing President Barack Obama over his immigration orders. McCrory joined a group of governors and attorneys general who sued the federal government this week. GOP Lt. Gov. Dan Forest urged Cooper to join. “I am concerned that a partisan lawsuit adds to the divisiveness that has prevented meaningful immigration reform in the first place,” Cooper wrote Forest on Friday.
