Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will headline a Raleigh fundraiser for Gov. Pat McCrory on Tuesday afternoon.

Walker, who was an early casualty in the GOP presidential primary, is in his second term as governor. He told North Carolina’s delegates at the Republican National Convention last week that he was going to help McCrory get re-elected.

McCrory faces a determined challenge from Democratic state Attorney General Roy Cooper, who is raising more money than the incumbent.

The McCrory fundraiser, which has a top ticket price of $1,000, is being held at the home of Greyson and Garland Tucker. People 35 and younger can get in for $100.

Garland Tucker is chairman of Triangle Capital Corporation, a publicly traded finance company, and is the author of books on American conservatism.
