Rain, then sun, then rain will be the weather pattern for the Charlotte area over the next couple of days.

Friday morning began with light rain and fog in the region. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Charlotte area.

Saturday looks to be mostly sunny, with a high of 80 degrees, the weather service said. But there is a 20 percent chance of showers after noon.

Widespread showers and thundershowers are predicted for Sunday, lasting throughout the day and into the overnight hours.

Then flip a coin on Monday, because there is a 50 percent chance of showers, along with the possibility of a thunderstorm after 11 a.m.
