North Carolina national champion big men Isaiah Hicks and Kennedy Meeks were not selected in Thursday’s NBA draft, but per league sources, both will get their shot at pro careers.

TNT reporter David Aldridge, a long-time NBA veteran, reported that Hicks will sign a free agent deal with the Clippers.

Yahoo Sports reporter Shams Charania reports that Meeks has agreed to a partially guaranteed deal with the Raptors, citing league sources.

Meeks’ tweeted the following Friday morning.

Later Friday, North Carolina’s official basketball twitter put out notice that he had signed.

Meeks tweeted at 2 a.m. Friday morning, hours after the draft, vowing to remember the draft date, likely as fuel for his not being selected.
