Lopes’ single leads Frisco over Corpus Christi in 10 innings

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) -- Christian Lopes hit an RBI single in the top of the 10th inning to help lead the Frisco RoughRiders to a 5-4 win over the Corpus Christi Hooks on Tuesday.

Michael De Leon scored the go-ahead run on the single after he started the inning on second. Later in the inning, Frisco added an insurance run when Lopes scored on a single by Juremi Profar.

In the bottom of the inning, Corpus Christi scored on an error that brought home Osvaldo Duarte. However, the rally ended when Blake Bass got Granden Goetzman to fly out to end the game.

Profar homered and singled twice, driving home three runs in the win.

Peter Fairbanks (1-0) got the win with 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief while Brendan Feldmann (1-3) took the loss in the Texas League game.

For the Hooks, Duarte tripled, doubled and singled, scoring three runs. Stephen Wrenn was a home run short of the cycle.
