SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) -- Anderson Miller and Travis Jones connected on back-to-back homers in the fifth inning, leading the Northwest Arkansas Naturals to a 12-10 win over the Tulsa Drillers on Tuesday.
Miller hit a two-run shot before Jones hit a solo shot as part of a four-run inning that gave the Naturals a 9-6 lead.
Following the big inning, the Drillers tied the game in the seventh inning when Zach Reks hit a solo home run and DJ Peters hit a two-run double.
The Naturals took the lead for good in the seventh when Emmanuel Rivera hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Khalil Lee.
Tulsa saw its comeback attempt come up short after Cody Thomas hit an RBI double, scoring Cristian Santana in the ninth inning to cut the NW Arkansas lead to 12-10.
Franco Terrero (2-2) got the win in relief while Shea Spitzbarth (2-1) took the loss in the Texas League game.
In the losing effort, Gavin Lux, Keibert Ruiz and Peters each had three hits for Tulsa. The Drillers also recorded a season-high 17 base hits.
