Source: Charlotte Hornets reach deal with Kentucky guard Aaron Harrison

The Charlotte Hornets came to terms Saturday with undrafted rookie Aaron Harrison on a contract that will bring him to training camp in October, an NBA source confirmed Saturday night.

Harrison started several games for the Hornets at Orlando Summer League and showed a knack for pick-and-roll offense. He got to the rim consistently and played solid defense in the Hornets' five games in Orlando.

Harrison, a 6-foot-6 guard who played for Kentucky two seasons, had not played point guard on any regular basis prior to this tryout with the Hornets. The Hornets have three veteran point guards under contract: Kemba Walker, Jerremy Lin and Brian Roberts.
