Matchup to Watch

LaMarcus Aldridge vs. Marvin Williams/Cody Zeller: Aldridge had 25 points and 14 rebounds in the Blazers’ 23-point comeback to beat the Hornets in Portland. That game was won on Blazers second-chance points and Aldridge was central to that.

• The Blazers are already 6-0 this season against the Eastern Conference. They are on a seven-game winning streak, among the hottest teams in the NBA.

• The Blazers outscored the Hornets 27-15 in the fourth quarter earlier this month to finish off their comeback.

• The Hornets are listing P.J. Hairston (sprained right ankle) as probable tonight and Gary Neal (sprained left shoulder) as doubtful. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (right foot stress reaction) is out.

• The Blazers shoot 40 percent from 3-point range, a big concern for a Hornets team that gave up 15 3s to the Los Angeles Clippers Monday.

Did you know?

Strangely enough the then-Bobcats beat the Blazers by 30 points at home and lost to them by 30 in Portland last season.
