The Gamecocks head into the final week of the SEC season in the hunt for the regular-season title. With two games left, South Carolina is fifth in the standings, but only a half-game behind Vanderbilt and Louisiana State, and 1 1/2 games behind No. 20 Texas A&M and No. 22 Kentucky. … The Bulldogs are out of title contention, they can spoil things for the Gamecocks, who lost at Georgia 69-56 on Feb. 2.

ARKANSAS-LITTLE ROCK (27-3, 17-2) AT APPALACHIAN STATE (7-22, 5-13)

The Mountaineers will play their final two Sun Belt games at home. … Appalachian State has lost two straight and eight of its past nine games. … Arkansas-Little Rock, which has clinched the top seed for next week’s conference tournament, enters on a six-game winning streak. … The Trojans easily beat the Mountaineers 81-55 on Jan. 14 in Little Rock, Ark.

CHARLOTTE (12-17, 8-8) AT RICE (12-17, 7-9)

Tudor Fieldhouse, Houston, 8 p.m.

The 49ers have won their past two games, and they begin the week seventh in the Conference USA standings, a half-game back of Texas-El Paso. Wins at Rice and Saturday at North Texas would give them the No. 6 seed in next week’s tournament; one or more losses could bump the 49ers as low as 10th. … Charlotte handily beat the Owls 102-72 on Feb. 11 at Halton Arena.
